Nautical-inspired signs like these hang all over the Cape. They are made the old traditional way and called "quarter boards". Sailors used to spend idle time at sea carving these signs and often hung them on the ship's "quarter". They are truly works of art. This sign points the way to the Elmarch Inn from Main Street in Falmouth.
