Come to Heritage for an afternoon of lively stories, collecting patterns and habits of a unique automotive enthusiast. Mr. Fred Rowe, along with his cronies from Harvard University, dropped out of M.I.T. within the first year and “spent too much time working on old cars”. Learn about the people, places and automobiles that Mr. Rowe encountered in tracing the histories of old cars. This research culminated in the definitive book about one Heritage’s favorite cars, “Duesenberg: The Pursuit of Perfection” published in 1982.
Mr. Rowe currently writes for the Antique Car Club of America and was the original owner of our 1922 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. Join us for this rare glimpse into automotive history! A reception will follow to honor G. Robert Melber, Heritage Museum’s & Gardens’ much admired Auto Curator, for whom this honorary lecture is named.
Fees: $8.00 Member, $10.00 Non-Member.
