We visited this location of Seafood Sam's for lunch on a Wednesday in spring. It is a good place to go for quality seafood at good prices. The portions are more than adequate and the service is quick but unremarkable. As you enter through the doors there is a counter on the right where you order your food. There is a large display menu on the wall above and behind it. There were 2 order takers behind the counter and neither greeted the customers who were entering. When we were ready to order we stepped up to the counter, placed our order and paid for it at the same time. We were given a lobster-shaped device that flashed when our order was ready to pick up at another counter. We only waited about 5 minutes for our food and everything was accurately prepared.
Our party ordered fried clam dinners, a lobster roll, a soft drink and water. The clams came with excellent french fries served hot and fresh and a small cup of cole slaw. The clams were lightly battered and fried just right. The taste was sweet and slightly crispy. The tartar sauce was excellent but the cole slaw was a bit bland. The lobster roll came in the traditional lightly toasted hotdog bun and was made of all claw and knuckle meat with a bit of mayonnaise to hold it together. A little more mayo would have enhanced the flavor a bit as the lobster was not as flavorful as we expected.
